UH and Cleveland Clinic are both under hiring freezes. Lots of job postings, but after you apply, the application goes to no mans land...

How you apply is different.
At my company, when apps were emailed in, they went into one stack. When they were hand-delivered/hand shake/visual confirmation, they went into another pile...which was noted and looked at first. Obviously, so much of it is how you sell yourself. Technical degrees are still going strong (nursing, systems, science, engineering), especially in Cleveland.
Right now, I have about 8-10 jobs I could slide over to if I really wanted to, but I still want to get my masters at CSU or Case....but it's tempting cuz the money is here right now to keep working. I'm not saying this as "whoa me" but there are so many opportunities to at least make 40K at the minimum if you have the right degrees.

Exactly. I'm sorry, but an associates in any sort of Business isn't going to get you as far as a bachelor's in engineering, nursing, or some other field. No offense to jcoffy, but I know someone double majoring in Business and engineering, and they told me that the bussiness classes are ridiculously easy. So I'd have to guess an associate's in bussiness can't be that difficult.

Cut jcoffy a break, I'm pretty sure English isn't his first language.

The Clinic's and UH's hiring freeze is only for administrative workers. They are still hiring workers involved directly in patient care.

I think it is not polite to act the way you have been through me. Yes, English is not my first language I'm a French speaking and do not have any complex against that. I think you could be more human. you can't judge people by their language but by their act. I had worked hard to speak and write English, may be I'm not at the level I would like to be. I know I have to make more progress in as life is a processus. what is interesting I did something most of you never experiment in their entire life, because I challenge myself. I want to tell you guys do not speak or write English as an American that does not mean I'm stupid. NoOOO, I am brilliant, intelligent and smart. I was looking for your comprehensive, understanding and empathy to my situation not a criticism to denude my personality. I hope all of you who has been used this thread to underestimate me will be more progressive, next time.

By acting like that you show me your low class and I'm sure you are not better than I. I can see your profile my impostor.

Your English is pretty good. I don't think there are many people who post on these forums that can speak a second language as well as you speak English, so don't worry about it too much. Your English may not be perfect, but that does not mean that you're not smart. I think sometimes people unfairly connect intelligence with the ability to speak the local language (which in this case is English). Keep working on your fluency, you're not far off!
