Attached is a pic of an old Euclid Race dairy truck. These used to be seen at the Euclid Race on E200th street and roaming around the streets. There doesn't seem to be many pics of these old trucks on the web.

At least he doesn't go on the air and rant like a loony the way Dorothy Fuldheim did.

They should have taken that poor woman off the air before all dignity was gone.

I leaned that a lot of things I thought were done everywhere were local to Cleveland. Didn't know everyone didn't say, "treelawn" or call KFC "Kenny King's" (which I still do on rare occasion)...stuff like that.

LOL, just hearing that makes me cold. Not to mention the dread of fuel line freeze-up!

The person who posted that video on youtube is Ray Glasser, someone I know. He has a large library of Beta tapes with video clips that he recorded going back to 1976. He also has a website about WIXY 1260.

Here's a video summarizing his collections.

I liked when Big Chuck would put Dick Goddard into a sketch. Goddard had that humble apple-pie persona that didn't fit in with the zaniness of the sketches, making them even more off-center.

Here's another one:

12) Treelawns

(I understand no one outside the Cleveland area ever uses that word for the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street curb.)
In Akron, just 35 miles away, it's a "Devilstrip".
