I'm helping my grandparents find an active adult community to purchase in...preferably a 55+ neighborhood. Are there any out there that you would recommend?

You didn't say if you were looking for coast or mountains, but I have talked to a number of people who like living at the Villages in Swansboro.

My website on the area is called Coastal Paradise.

I also have a Swansboro travel guide.

I am sure there are other adult communities in the area but that is the only one I have heard people recommend.

Smile Depending on how active they want to be.

Other communities might suit them better than Villages at Swansboro.

There are lots of water access communities around with different amenities, and even in our subdivision which has a few families with kids, most of the people are over 55 and have no kids.

We have lots of over 55 boaters, kayakers, bikers, fishermen, golfers etc.

You can see from Moderator cut: link removed that there are not a tremendous number of kids.
