I inadvertently left out Bath, which has a good community K-8 school. There are some high priced waterfront homes in Bath....as Bo indicated people spread out because of the waterfront, which Beaufort Co has a lot of with a huge river going through it. Bath has no commercial component to it, so you end up driving to Washington for everything...and is a little further from Greenville for your entertainment/regional center.
