Considering a move to Wilmington. We love Landfall, but the waiting list is long. Are there any super-active HOA neighborhoods w/ lots of kids. We want to make friends for both our kids and us quickly.

Porter's Neck is similar to Landfall in that it has golf, tennis and other country club amenities. The public school are decent, but I don't know how many kids are actually in the neighborhood.

Marsh Oaks and Plantation Landing also offer a clubhouse, tennis, playground and a pool. Their prices are in the $600 to upper $700K range. Also look at Covil Estates and Masonboro Forest around $800K.

As you search, keep in mind HOA and POA are different.
