As a Wolverine - I am THRILLED with DRob. That being said - I think it is too soon to tell. If he continues playing the way he has for the past 2 weeks - then hell yeah he deserves to be in contention. However - I'm trying not to get too excited and too hopeful. We started of 4-0 last year and look what happened. Tate Forcier started off with an amazing season last year and look what happened. I'm trying to stay level headed and not expect too much! That being said - GO BLUE and GO SHOELACE!
As a Texas fan i think of VY in his first two starts, and they were not as impressive as Robinson's. Yes it still very early and a lot of other players can still rise. With UMass, Bowling Green and Indian he has a chance to polish his self off and put up some more big numbers. However then its game on, with rival MSU, tough Iowa, then away at nosiy Penn ST. If they can make it out of there at 2-1 it will be great for the TEAM. But wait for it....games against Wisconsin and at Rival OSU to finish the season. Not sure what either teams will look like come late November but its gonna be good to watch! Glad to see life in Ann Arbor once again
So the last drive a game winner for Robinson. Over 500 total yards. Does he deserve the heisman hype?
Lord no. I'm one of the biggest michigan fans there is, but he has no chance for success. He wont survive. His passing has improved over last year and the automatic interception, but he's gonig to get injured running this much.... You can't win with a running QB... Michigan went 4-0 last year with Forcier and you know what happened. Robinson is better, but watch what happens when we play big ten teams.. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see this working, and it's not Michigan football.
