Thoughts on the bowl game against USC? Nebraska has never beat the Trojans but maybe this is the year. Unfortunately, we have Barney Cotton coaching these guys up for the bowl game. I'd feel better with Riley coaching them even if he doesn't know the personnel.
Yeah this is kind of up in the air, I really don't know what to expect with the leadership changes. I've always hated USC, it looks like I get to rekindle it for the next few weeks.
Game day! My faith that the Huskers will pull out a victory against the Trojans is low but, hey, at least the team doesn't have Pelini and his game plans (or lack thereof) holding them back. Unfortunately, I am not sure that Cotton will be much better. Either way, I like what I see out of Riley thus far. Either way, Go Big Red! A victory for Abdullah, Gregory, Bell, and company would be nice to see.
Abdullah is possibly the classiest athlete I've ever seen. It'd be great for him to go out with a W. I think a lot of them are playing for Bo, or for the future, so I expect to see a high-effort performance.
Once they quit running up the middle for nothing on 1st and 2nd down, and attempting sideways passes on 3rd and long, they looked pretty good. Story of the season.
Agreed. Anxious to see what direction this goes with Riley coming on board. I'll say one thing, the hiring of Harbaugh by UM to go along with Meyer at Ohio State and the Big Ten might be coming back. Riley will have his work cut out for him in order to win a Big Ten title.
