It's the sound of all his recruits being sucked away to College Station!

It's going to be tough for Brown. Who wants to play against Iowa State when you can play against the big boys?

I'm a fan of Johnny Football, but Texas will still be hand picking their recruits. A&M will remain in College Station and Texas will be in Austin. That will never change.

True. And Texas has enough recruits to suit up how many Texas college teams? TT, UT, aTm, Houston, TCU, Baylor, and still have enough left over to go to other states. Back in the early 90s, KSU had a lot of Texas players.

As for playing against Iowa State, every conference has their weaker teams.

Gotta give aggy credit - they surprised everybody with that great road win.

However, they just proved that a middlin' Big 12 team, essentially the same as last year, can step into the overrated SEC and expose it by beating or playing close its best (Bama, LSU, Gators).

Why do you say its the same Aggie team as last year? Personnel is only part of the equation. Obviously there is a new QB. But every single coach is new. Defensive alignment different. Tons of freshmen playing, including a starter on the DL.

Do you think your Horns would beat Alabama? Or LSU?

Is the SEC overrated? Not sure yet. Is there a better conference? Surely not the Decimal12. There is only one Big12 team in the hunt this year - KSU. Everyone else is far below them. The Big10 is nothing. The ACC has a rising FSU and a solid Clemson. VaTech is down. The Pac-12 is stronger than the Decimal12.

Eh I'm not sure. Part of the allure of the SEC is the mindset of "win the conference and play for the NC" however with the 4 team playoff coming up in two years that whole idea is by the wayside. Winning the Big 12 with 1 or less losses and you'll be in the dance for the NC.
