The Oregon Ducks are getting away with murder over there on their own sideline with the late hits.
The Wildcats should try to get away with some eye gouging and spears to the head on the other sideline.
McGowdog makes a point here w/ the refs. At the 11:00 mark the K-State quarterback was hit more than a tad out of bounds, I would say he was put down 6 yards out of bounds. Coach Snyder was looking right at it. The previous hit in the first quarter happened on Oregon's side and the color commentator Todd Blackledge said "The late hit on the quarterback was on Oregon's side and the official will not call it."
That opening kickoff? As pretty a 102 yard return as you're gonna see. Solid blocking, man that dude hauled it!
That fake punt? A gutsy call but I really question it!
False start penalty cost K-State, moving that ball back 5 yards cost them 3.
I wonder whether Chip Kelly is ready, coachingwise, for the physical nature of the NFL. Remember, Oregon is all speed and finesse. It will be interesting to see if Kelly decides to move on.
Oh, yeah, contrary to media/public opinion, the Patriot offense is NOT Oregon! The only thing the Pats do off of Oregon's style is that of a quick no-huddle. Brady still goes back in the pocket, and there are no zone option reads. The only dude on that team closest to looking and running like an Oregon Duck is Welker!
Easily the most impressive game of the year by Oregon. Makes you wonder what they might have done if they hadn't dropped the Stanford game and made it to next Monday. I was finally impressed by the Ducks defense. They showed up tonight.
- D'Anthony Thomas proved that a track star can be just as physical. Did you see the goal line push through three defenders? We still need to "train" more for strength and physicality.
- Were just going to have to agree to disagree coach. When were ahead we should never gamble.
- The play calling was great all in all though and a good balance. Ill be back with game stats.
- Marcus Mariota broke our all time quarterback records as a freshman. And we've had some great quarterbacks. Marcus is like gold. We better protect him the next four years.
