In my grad program a B was like getting a D and a C was like getting an F.

My school did not allow any grade of C or below to count towards your degree.

Just take the Bs and move on. I recently graduated with probably a 60/40 split of As and Bs. I was offered the first position I applied for and grades in my grad program never came up. This was the extent of the subject in the interview:

"Did you finish your MBA?"

"Yes."

"Congratulations. That's great."

My advisor's advice: it's okay to take the B.

'Bs get degrees'. Seriously. With this only being your second possible B, you are clearly doing well. My grad program states that the average grade in grad school should be a B+ which means you are averaging better than that.

Don't stress over it. If all of your classes were Bs or you were struggling with easy classes I'd say be concerned; but you are doing well in a difficult class and have been doing well in the rest. You're on track.

OP, it's easy to get perfectionistic about grades, to get hooked on those A's. Allow yourself some slack, so you don't stress out too much. A "B" here and there on the transcript won't make a difference. Good luck and good for you! Keep on keepin' on.

They do if they fall below the threshold for what's allowable in the program (as mentioned, in some cases, that means below a B).

But, yes, in general, A or B really doesn't end up making a big difference in the long run.

Many graduate programs either don't allow you to get less than a B OR get a GPA below a B. Also when you're in grad school that isn't necessarily your terminal degree. After getting a masters some people decide to get a phd or go to law school, etc.

They do to become a PhD candidate in your field, though, in addition to your publications/research/what have you.
