Is it necessary to include GPA in resume? 'Cause my GPA is low, about 3.1, so I am afraid this would reduce the employers's interest in the first impression. But if I don't include GPA, will they assume I am hidding something? I am so confused now. Need your advice. Thank you.
Btw, I am a grad student in EE
IF you're a new graduate looking for your first job, put it on there if it's over 3.0.
If you're looking for your 2nd, 3rd, 4th,etc job- leave it off. No one cares at that point....unless you graduated Summa *** Laude. (Edit to add: ok, seriously.....not using it as a dirty word, City Data editors!!!!)
I suppose it depends on what field you are in, but I have never, never had a job where they cared one bit what my GPA was. All that mattered was that I had the degree.
