Transferring from Cuesta to Cal Poly is not a shoe in, even though the schools are 2 minutes apart. There is not an agreement between Cuesta and Cal Poly for automatic transfers once your prereq's (I couldn't remember how to spell that) are completed. As is the case with many other CA community colleges and universities which have transfer agreements between them. If you are interested in attending Cal Poly, then I think you should enroll at Cuesta and work out all the issues while taking your tranferrable general education courses. While you are attending Cuesta, consult with Cuesta and Cal Poly counselors. They will help you figure this all out.

I don't believe Cal Poly has a transfer agreement with any community college. If they did, it would be Cuesta, and they don't. Cal Poly is competitive. You may have a better chance by transferring from a CA community college, but I really don't know if that's fact or not. Like I said, I'd enroll in Cuesta and go from there. I think Cuesta is #1 when it comes to which school provides Cal Poly with the most transfers. It's just not an automatic.

Huh? the only thing cheap here is a cardboard box, the mass transit system pretty good. You got me a little confused. You're college without a car...that means you walk.
