Hi!
I am hoping that the OT's out there can help me. Currently I am a Special Education teacher. I was wondering if there are still programs available for teachers who would like to get their masters in OT? I have heard about this in the past but not sure if such a thing is still available. I think that the OT program has changed a bit??
Yeah, the entry level master's programs are for any undergrad degree. You can no longer just start out with a B.S. As a special-ed teacher, I assume you want to go back into the schools? You would have a unique skill set for sure, and could command more $$$ in some instances. Check out the AOTA website for programs.
Yep, you would have an entry level Masters in O.T. You may or may not have a few science pre-reqs to complete depending on what you took as an undergrad.
How much competition is there to get in to the MOT programs, I was looking at AZ, Washington state, but I am open.
