Millions live here, can't be that bad, eh. Use the Search tool with key words like jobs employment family families environment weather climate pizza snow rain skiing running hiking culture crime prices, or whatever you are interested in, and you'll find a ton of answers are already here.

Overall, I heartily recommend Colorado, for anyone, single or families, but YMMV.

I would ask you, what are you looking for in a new city or town? What things to you value most as a father?

I can tell you this, Colorado Springs is very family friendly. It is the primary reason my brother and his wife moved to Colorado Springs from Phoenix. They wanted to bring up their, then future children back in 1987, in a place where family life is pretty stable.

So far it's been a pretty good deal for them.

My sis-in-law is from Tucson and even though she misses her family very much, I think she has a sense of calm when it comes to raising her kids here.

Hope that helps a bit. Not having kids is hard for me to convey what I am trying to say but yes, C Springs is seemingly a great place to raise children.

nice,in my opinion reading all the thread's i think we are going to look real hard at colorado springs. We are originally from Michigan, but that is a moot issue that everyone has fled the state,And Vegas is good on money, but that is not the answer, besides we miss the season's.Not a lot of green in the desert, actually there is none, and we won't even get into the gangbanger's heading into this area.10 years ao this town was OK,now,it's a train wrreck waiting to happen.

Get put of Vegas, anywhere is better. I have been going to Vegas for over 30 years and have watched it deteriorate from bad to the worst spot to be. Not only is it a terrorist target, it is full of crime, smut, and pedophiles. I still go there to see family but it will never be the same as the city I knew in the 70's.
I just came back from CO. I loved Castle Rock, and Co Springs. Check it out real well. It looks like a family city.
