It's sad about the COS motorcycle policeman who died on Austin Bluffs Parkway the other day.

But, it's time for the city to look at the speed limit on this section of highway. Just a short distance away, at the top of Austin Bluffs, at its intersection with Rangewood (that's 2 blocks away from Stetson), in the past 2 years there have been at least a half-dozen auto accidents...with most of them involved overturned cars and the need for ambulances. There's nothing that unusual about that intersection, so I can only assume speed is the culprit. The posted speed is 45, but it's a rare car that is actually going 45 or less through this stretch of road...and it's a residential area.

Somebody down in city hall ought to start connecting the dots. If they had. perhaps that police officer would be alive today.

As a fellow motorcycle rider, this infuriates me. Almost certainly it was because some idito teenage girl was texting and didn't see him.

Motorcycle cops are some of the best and most skilled riders out there, Ive seen the training they have to go through, it's amazing. May he rest in piece.

People frequently speed down that road, you are passed left and right if you attempt to drive the speed limit there. I do frequently see an officer checking speeds near the Farmington section.
