We are considering a move to the area- El Paso County included-and are looking for equestrian friendly areas. We have 2 horses and a small (less than 5) herd of miniature dairy goats. It seems that although the city proper accepts miniature dairy goats, the surrounding HOA's specifically state "NO LIVESTOCK"(which these tiny goats fall under). Even on 5-10 acre parcels! Does anybody know of nice areas that would accommodate our animals? We are looking as far as Castlerock, Monument, and surrounding areas. Thanks for any insight!!

Have you looked around Fountain? There are lots of folks with horses etc. there.

I am sure many areas of Black Forest will allow your animals.

We like Black Forest a lot, but haven't seen many homes that allow goats...in general, the HOA's exclude them. We will look into Fountain...

Peyton and Ellicott areas along east highway 24 and east 94, provvded you don't get into certain 5 acre sub divisions. There also are some very nice custom homes north of Peyton between 24 and the Black Forest area.
