This will be our first New Year's Eve in El Paso County, so I am wondering what kind of family friendly events are going on? I did find this article. New Years Eve and New Years Day events around Colorado Springs

If you didn't go to Electric Safari at the zoo for Christmas it is open until Jan 1 - it is neat. Also, don't forget the AdAMan fireworks at midnight from the top of Pikes Peak - you may be able to see them from your window depending on where you live and what the weather does.

It's supposed to be just 8 degrees at midnight.

I think I'll avoid the drunks, stay home, sip a cool one and watch the fireworks on the telly.
