Wind and wildfire danger in COS should concern you. Houses prices...not so much. That varies from state to state and community to community.

years ago, i lived in the Boulder area for years. The wind was so major, the likes of which I'd never experienced. I remember living on the 3rd floor of a condo complex and getting up to the 3rd floor trying to unlock the front door, I was literally worried that I would be blown off the landing in the process!

Then one time at King Soopers, I opened the driver's side door and the wind caught it and it slammed into the cart kiosk next to my car, causing body damage to the door. I learned then to never park next to the cart kiosk, and still follow that rule even though I live in Texas now.

This was way before all this wild fire activity, but I can see why the wind and wild fires would be a major worry for home owners in the area now. It's a major concern in Texas now too! They were battling a wild fire this week that took out 2 apartment complexes and some homes nearby. This was just a few miles from my own home. Scary!

Wow! Moved here last month and the wind we had this past Saturday reminded of the "minor" hurricanes we got in Florida. Walking the dog, I seriously thought I would get blown over when a gust came through.

My goodness! I feel like I'm back in Florida going through a Cat 1 Hurricane. Only without the rain or humidity or Jim Cantore in town. :-)
