Does anybody know of a reputable jewelry place that buys rings, gold, etc? Not a pawn shop.

There are many places but you may want to call your insurance rep first to see what your jewelry is worth. They may even be able to recommend an estate sales place that can get you top money. Seriously, don't rely upon the jewelers or the pawn shops, get your insurance agent involved first if you have one.

Right now, selling gold seems to be a good deal but unless it's 18 kt or more, consider yourself screwed. 14 kt is going to pretty much be what it's going for on the consumer market which isn't much.
