Physicals (Colorado Springs: home, schools, health)

Hello all.. I am trying to find someplace that i can get a physical for my kids for camp. I have been unable to get an appoinment on base and was hoping there was someplace out in town that might do it. Back home in NC some health department would do it. I am new to the area so am hoping someone can help.. thanks

Why don't you go to your pediatrician? (because of the appointment timing?) Otherwise, any other pediatrician in your plan that has an open appointment?

Am I missing something?

Talk to Colorado Springs Health Partners, P.C. Online! Good group of doctors and such. I hope they are on your plan but they are dotted throughout the city. I have never had anything but great care and one of the docs is actually a friend of the family. He's that good in that he will give my dad home visits (keep in mind he is a friend of the family and doesn't do that for just anyone but they do have great care.)

If your tricare its going to be hard to get them seen off post before the school year begins. I'm a medical assistant and I can tell you school physicals are generally scheduled before the kids even get out for the year. Especially if your looking for new patient appointments. Generally the summer season is school physicals and sick patient appointments. Your best bet is trying to get them seen with the primary. Schools generally allow 30 days to turn in info after the year begins expecting the delay. Hope this helps!
