Hello!

My Husband and I might be moving from Notheast Wisconsin to Fort Carson. I've looked all around at the apartments in the area, and the views are just gorgeous!! I'm wondering if anyone could compare the temperature differences from WI to CO...if there is any.

We might be relocating sometime this summer, so I'm interested in the temperature differences between Wisconsin Summers, and Colorado Summers as well.

Also, What are the good, safe cities/towns to look at near Fort Carson?

Any information would be helpful!

Thank you!!

It is pretty much all good and safe. I would personally advice against Harrison School District 2 area, but it isn't all bad, either.

I don't know WI weather - if you tell me what it's like, I'd be happy to let you know what the differences are. There are some pretty good threads here on weather already.

Hello,

I'm originally from La Crosse.

The first thing you'll notice is that it's much less humid here in Colorado than Wisconsin. You'll also be dealing with a lot less bugs and mosquito's. Ave daily temp in the summer is low to mid 80s here in Colorado Springs. Wisconsin is not much more than that, but the humidity makes it feel warmer.

Lot's of sunny days here as well with occasional thunderstorms rolling in over the mountains in the afternoons.

Also, the summer evenings are much cooler here than Wisconsin.

I think you'll find many places to live in Colorado Springs and in the outlying communities. Many live in Fountain and on the east side of the Springs.

Lastly, you'll find quite a few Wisconsinite's out here...it's a great place to live with lots of things to do and very friendly people.

Good luck in your move and be safe!
