I have just relocated (approx 2mos ago) here from VA with my husband and I have yet to find a job. I work in the medical field as a office manager and/or billing and coding. With all the resumes I have sent out I have had ONE interview. I am even willing to commute to Denver. I have tried all the big names and even driving around to find the names of private practices to see if they are hiring. I was told this was a tight knit community and you have to have a "in".......so I am begging you.......please let me in. I am a hard worker and staying home is NOT for me....my dog is even hating me now

I know what you mean. I work in a nephrology practice here in the Springs as the patient services manager (I run the front desk and the billing office). I found my job because I had a friend that worked at the clinic when I applied. I know that a lot of the medical practices here use WSI to find people. Check out there website, they are a personnel placement type company that has the in with may of the practices in the area. I know, my boss is president of PAHCOM here, and uses them all the time. Heck, WSI is a major sponser for the PAHCOM organization. Anyway, check out www.wsijobs.com. They will help get your name out there to those that are looking.

Thanks a ton for that info! I am trying to find a new job in the medical sector as well, but it's hard when you are from out of state. Unfortunately, the restaurant industry is not a good place to be right now.....

Default WSI Medical Jobs?

Hey all,

My husband and I have been members on this site for about a year, and I just decided to create my own account.

I read a post about WSI and wondered what people's experience was like with them. I'm moving to Colorado in 4 weeks and I've been in medical billing for 6 years and hope to get a job in that field within a month or two of moving.

If you have used WSI or know anyone who has...
1) How long did it take to get a job?
2) Was the pay fair for the job that you did?
3) Did you have many gaps in between job placements?
4) Did you stay with WSI very long?
5) If you currently work in the medical field, does your company use WSI to find employees?

Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give me!

It seems like every medical posting on Craigslist is riddled with WSI...

I graduated from Everest College in Thornton Medical Billing and Coding. I did very well in school but now I cannot find a job entry level. I have sent resumes to just about everything related to my education. I have no prior medical experience and had hoped the college would get me a job....wrong. Any suggestions?
