My son & his wife want to leave Florida's horrible job situation and move to Colorado. He is a union-trained Journeyman sheet metal/HVAC worker; she is an office manager for a fastener company, where she started in shipping.

They have no kids yet but want to start a family. They hope to save up about $10K before relocating, and look for jobs and a place to rent when they get there, but I don't know that they have settled on a city or region yet.

Can you give me a general idea of their prospects, please.

Sheet Metal Local #9 is near Wadsworth and Mississippi, phone number is 303-936-3301. Their international offices are in the same building. I'm sure they have a website, I haven't looked at it myself. I worked around a lot of "tinners" when I worked in the construction building trades. They were at the power plants though. Sadly, the economy in Denver has been pretty bad like everywhere else.

I have a lot of respect for tinners, it's damn hard work. I wish I could help more, hopefully some of the Denver area people can help here. Good luck!
