Each new construction home is built and inspected by the county several times. With that said, you must have the home inspected prior to closing, regardless of the builder.

The builder will warrant the work & the appliances for one or two years and the structural integrity for 10.

After closing, do not regrade the landscaping within the 10 foot perimeter around the foundation. You may void your warranty. I would avoid planting anything close to the house that would need watering.

Check the sump pit several times during the construction period. Bring any water in the pit to the construction supervisors attention.

You can hire a structural engineer to inspect the property at:
1. foundation
2. Electrical
3. Mechanicals
4. Roof/Insulation check
5. prior to close
