Hi,

I am from the Netherlands and moving to HR area per October for a period of 9 months. Since I have to build a new social life, I would like to live near the pubs/places where people meet. Can anybody give me advise? Also, when working in HR, what's the best area to live (Castle Rock/Centennial/Littleton/or elsewhere)?

there aren't really many pubs or places to meet in highlands ranch. it's a family-oriented community. it's a boring place for the most part. there are plenty of clubs, bars, etc. farther away in downtown denver if you are into that sort of thing.

palomino park in highlands ranch is one apartment complex you might consider. i hated living there for a lot of reasons (i posted about my experience previously), but it is one of the more social apartment complexes. a lot of people hang out at the main clubhouse/pool area on weekends. however, if you are there in the winter, this probably won't be the case.

i hope you enjoy your stay in colorado. but, coming from the netherlands, you probably won't be impressed.
