Without going into a bunch of details on the why, can I expect any problems at the DMV if I can't get there for 35-40 days after having accepted a job back in April?

I know it's supposed to be 30 days from resident status and 90 days on vehicle title, I just have some impeding conditions for the drivers license portion.

Thanks!

I think I did both on the same day, about 70 days from when I moved here. I could be wrong though.

With the electric bill I think you can do it. I don't recall them asking how long I was in the state when I got my license and I know my registration was done with less than 90 days of residency.

How would they know? Some people wait 2-3 years or until they get caught, lol.

I believe the lease agreement would also work, but I don't know how long it has to be for. I seem to recall using our lease agreement when I handled things. On further inspection, I'm not sure if I waited to get our driver's license--I might have done that immediately and then waited the 70 days or so to deal with car registration. To be fair, car registration is a pain and driver's license is not. To say I was "excited" to officially become a resident of Colorado would be a massive understatement.

Exactly! My husband got stopped for something minor, and the cop let him go, but asked to get CO license ASAP. He did the next day.
I was waiting, and waiting and waiting, just because I hate going to DMV and sitting there for hours. I finally did it more than a year after I moved. Funny thing - it was days before I had to go to Air force Academy and enter and exit the base 5 times over the course of one weekend. I had a temp which is basically just a piece of paper. I had to give them my passport and a temp, and each time a cadet on duty was wondering what was wrong with me when I gave them a piece of paper for identification .

I took care of it today, and waiting was no problem. I went to Golden, but made an appointment online first and it only took 30 minutes. Longest part was waiting for picture. I did find it odd that the temporary license has no picture like other states. Thanks for all the responses!
