Are there any schools, private or public, in the Grand Junction area (Loma to Palisades) that prohibit schoolchildren from having cell phones or other portable devices in classrooms?

Especially thinking of Elementary to Middle School aged as we are relocating and beginning to look at school districts for where we'd like to live.

Definitely any school that bans their use during school hours would be high on our list. I suspect any that may would be private so any recommendations at all would be great.

We barely use them and our kids won't have them until they can purchase their own via summer jobs and even then we're hoping they have enough other things that interest them they won't care about endless scrolling or swiping on a phone. A school that recognizes the time-suck and general uselessness that they are would be one we'd like to check into.

Thanks.

Might want to look here, or call them.

Most schools have a policy against using cellphones during school hours.

Thanks. I saw the District policy, but was hoping for some more first hand knowledge, and esp from any private schools.

My wife works in a school with a no-cell phone policy and it isn't enforced and attempts to enforce it usually end up with parents threatening to sue because their precious genius can't text Mommy constantly through the day.
