"If you are a skier or snowboarder, there is a good chance James Niehues has been your mountain guide. Throughout his 30 year career he has worked at the smallest hills and the most expansive resorts in North America. He has left his mark in South America, Australia, Asia and Europe too. And even if you have never shared a bottomless powder day with him, he has always been close by. Maybe even in your pocket. "

"ames Niehues knows North America’s ski resorts better than most people – not because he’s skied them all, but because he’s painted many of them.

The Parker resident has memorialized approximately 200 ski resorts by hand in the past three decades, sketching the trail maps that resorts hand out with lift tickets and post at the top of their runs."

Maybe next Christmas - won't even fund until January then it goes through the printing process etc. - nice maps etc. but just don't be in a hurry to get your stuff - probably months away.

The Kickstarter I did we got our orders about 1 year after the 'delivery' date originally promised - ended up being 1.5 years after the close date. That may be quite the aberration though - just as long as people aren't expecting to be able to get these maps for Christmas this year should be all good.

It’s publishing a book so hopefully a bit easier than building a new robot or something.

They have raised $256,000 and the target was $8000.

Yeah I saw that, that's great. Mine was a jacket - they had problems with their fabric suppliers or something.
