I've seen online that there is a year round farmer's market in Columbus. Any opinions on it? I am just trying to find out info before I actually make the move down in April. We love good produce and plan to have a garden but I like to have a backup plan since my thumb is not all that green.

How about a good local butcher?

Also, do you know if there is any kind of food co-op?

We've visited the area and I really like it. In fact, I can't think of anything that I didn't see (shopping, restaurants) that I would have liked to see. Seems like there is a little of everything! But when we were down there we were more focused on finding a place to live...electricity and things like that. Now I'm trying to get my mind wrapped around things I'm actually interested in.

Thanks in advance!

there's also a farmers market that runs march or april - october on broadway down town. Local growers/artisans come from around the area. Also, for the FRESHEST bread: check out the dolly madison bakery outlet on victory. hate they're closing.
