I'll show you a few before and after pictures of those cities, and you can show me some of Columbus, and then we can see who really had more change. There are more of both cities. I don't own majority of the pictures.

Are some of you guys kidding me? This person talked about how much he or she is not surprised by Columbus supposedly having more big buildings downtown than Savannah and Augusta, because being the second largest city, it will need them to accommodate all those people. Yeah, because Columbus has more people downtown than Savannah. The same Columbus boosters saying absolutely absurd things like this while pretending to be a new poster is why everyone is starting to not take them seriously.

Your post is one of many on this same subject and has been going on for years on this forum and sadly is very true.
It certainly reflects on the city in a bad light.
Like a redneck defending his outhouse next door to a house with indoor plumbing.
Nuff said.

I believe he is asking
Why doesn't Columbus build up like
a Savannah or Augusta
I was told Long Ago that Columbus had height restrictions
Downtown for City hall
In other words nothing could be taller than city hall
is that true?
I hope not, Besides If they build up, no passing travelers will see
Because Downtown is so far from 185

Are you serious? Columbus can't build any buildings over about 160 ft in downtown!?! Well at least they can build up in midtown.

revitalization is currently going on in downtown columbus time will tell. Columbus now has whitewater rafting downtown now and a zip line going across the river. And the booker T.washington housing apartments that sit across from the columbus civic center are going to be demolished soon too. So columbus is slowing cleaning itself up and making the area look attractive. Also south columbus off of victory drive is going to have a walmart supercenter and more developement will follow behind that. As far as high density developement I would like too see a 14 story condo downtown on the river overlooking the whitewater rafting And a nice hotel built across from the civic center where the current booker t. washington housing sits would be nice.

the picture that you got with the river flowing threw and the bridge of augusta looks small. The river in columbus looks way more bigger than this and wide unless im not seeing the whole river of augusta. and what sets columbus apart now from macon and augusta and savannah is columbus now has urban whitewater rafting so the river downtown is going to be more active.
