We just moved to North Columbus (Midland) area and i have two kids aged 4 and 2. I was wondering if there are any recommended places where i can take the 4 yr old for any activities like swimming lessons, painting, soccer training etc. I have looked at Karate and Gymnastics.
He will be going to Pre-K in August and i have to kill April-August a good 4 months and i want him to have some fun and also learn something in this time frame.

Also members please recommend any good private preschools for my 2 year old.
Thanks.

The YMCA's in town have swimming lessons during the summer. There is also a nice public pool in Midland. CYSA (Columbus Youth Soccer Association) is the soccer organization in Columbus. It is a great soccer association.

For private pre-schools, look at Brookstone School, St. Annes, St. Luke, or Calvary Christian.

Columbus State University offers a ton of day camps in the summer. It's called Activ8. Here is a link to their catalog of camps offered. 2010 Activ8 Camp Catalog-Columbus State University Continuing Education I know that last year Columbus School of Music and Dance offered a variety of dance and music related summer programs. You might also want to check out the Psalmond Rd Recreation Center.

If you're up for about a half hour drive, there's always Butts Mill Farms. You can find it on google. There's a bunch of stuff for kids from pony rides and play grounds to a jumbo inflatable slide, it's pretty cool. Good luck finding fun stuff, there's not much for little kids around Columbus.

Also there's Pierce Chapel PreK in or near Midland. That's where my 3 year old will be going in the fall. It's $125 a month for 3 days. You can look them up at piercechapel.com.
