I have lived on the west side of columbus (hilliard area) my whole life, and I just landed my first teaching job in the South Linden area! While I am so excited to start teaching, I have no idea what areas are safe on the East side? I am not looking at the OSU campus area, as an alumni I do NOT want to go back.

My criteria:
-15 minutes or less away from South Linden
-Max rent: $1400 a month
-SAFE AREA...no break ins!

Would love, but not essential:
-Garage parking
-Built In washer/dryer

Any ideas?? I would love some help!

With that budget I would imagine you have a LOT of options.

For travel time you would have to check on Google Maps, because I'm not all that familiar with how long it takes to get across the city.

Would some choices include Upper Arlington, the Short North, Downtown, or even Olde Towne East?

Craiglist or Metro Rentals are good places to start for your apartment hunt.

Good luck and congratulations on your job!
