Yes that area is safe. But if you go further west or east, you'll run into some sketchy areas. Bexley and Berwick are pretty safe though.

I would say no but it depends on what you are comfortable with obviously. Its not the hood but it isn't great either. That specific street and those apartments are somewhat sketchy and have been known to be problematic. It is right on the border of Columbus and Bexley, bordered by the highway and livingston ave. Although the previous poster was correct in saying that Berwick and Bexley areas are safe for the most part and if you go further east and west in gets worse depending where and how far you go, this is not the best location on the street and intersection, although its technically in Bexley. I would say go check out if your able too and see what your comfort level is.

Go a little further east, you are in Whitehall. Head further west, you are in Bexley. I've seen some posters here say Whitehall is bad, but it isn't that bad imo. Bexley is nice, safe, and has nice homes. So, I would say that the area you are referring to and its neighboring areas are pretty safe. I miss Columbus, so my opinion might be a bit skewed lol.

I remember visiting my cousin and she lived north west of Bexley off Nelson Rd. I was sure the area would be loud and slightly dangerous, but the week I stayed there that summer, was pleasently quiet at night.

Columbus is relatively safe, overall. I actually looked at those Mayfair apartments when I was searching for a place. Nice sized townhomes.
