We may be moving to Columbus and I'm interested in good High Schools, perhaps Catholic, for my son, and also a good school for a special needs child. (She has a disability similar to Down's.) I'd appreciate info on neighborhoods that are family friendly for further investigation. Thanks!

Dublin and Worthington would be worth looking into, especially for a special needs child.

Catholic School: Bishop Watterson High School
Neighborhood: Clintonville/Beechwold
Result: Kids can walk to and from School without any danger whatsoever.

Check out Grandview for gooood public education and a hip (by 30something standards) neighborhhood also.

Depending on the area you are working and your budget, you may consider areas such as Westerville, Bexley, Gahanna, Worthington, Hilliard, Dublin, New Albany and Pickerington are all wonderful areas with well rated schools. (also special education programs)

St Pius, St Matthews, St Charles, St. Catherines, Hartley and Desales are all good catholic schools.

Feel free to check out my webpage to learn about different communities.

Thanks for the info about Columbus schools and n'hoods. I wonder too about Marysville and Plain City. Are the commutes into Columbus terrible? Can someone tell me more about what it's like to raise a family in either place?
