My computer wont install the update for Windows Service Pack 2 for 64 bit systems. I have tried several times the past few days and each download fails. I dont get it, my computer has no problems installing other windows updates, but that particular update it wont install. I keep getting this error: code 80070570, it says its an unknown error. Does anyone know whats going on or what I can do to fix this error so I can install this update? Thanks.

What service pack level are you at now? I believe SP2 requires SP1 to be installed first. Also, have you tried manually downloading the entire SP2 (should be 591MB) first, then installing it or are you relying on Windows Update?

I have SP1 already installed. I have not manually downloaded SP2 I have been relying on Windows Update.

OK, go to:

Download details: Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 - Five Language Standalone for x64-based systems (KB948465)

and download the whole thing. Save it to your desktop and once you have it, just double click it to begin installing it.
