No, its dead. I think I've seen maybe 2 Win9x machines in the last year. I don't know anyone who loved it.

Do you also enjoy walking barefoot on broken glass and the sound of finger nails on a chalkboard?

It's got a 300 baud modem that would get me into message boards... and the Wall Street Journal... it's been years since I tried.

A couple of times a year I need to pull up an old Apple Writer File...

I had my Commodore 64 running w/no problems on a 2400 Baud modem!! (EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID @ THE STORE 2400 WOULDNT WORK ON C64)

I have read you can get C64 to goto 9600 baud! (NO FILE TRANSFER THOUGH @ THAT SPEED (CPU cant keep up))

I wonder if an Apple 2E can do 2400?

At work on the server side we still have a few legacy companies that use NT 4, can't wait for those to go away. At home the oldest is Vista, despite being considered a horrible OS it suits my needs perfectly. Never crashed, no problems but I do prefer 7 so may upgrade pretty soon.

My uncle had a 98 desktop that whenever he needed help I dreaded it. Luckily he finally upgraded and got a new desktop w/7 and loves it. Everytime he put a DVD in the 98 desktop the resolution would kick back to 640 x 480 VGA mode and needed to be fixed plus a number of other stupid issues that we are both glad are gone.
