Im looking for a somewhat inexpensive a camera that I can view from my Iphone that will allow me to chat through my Iphone to my wife and children while I am working. Any suggestions? I will also be using this a baby monitor as well

If it's just an ip camera they won't be able to see or hear you. It won't be much of chat. If you had another iPhone or and iPad you could use FaceTime.

You can use FaceTime if you have a newer Mac, iPhone 4Gs, iPod Touch that has a built-in camera, and so forth. That's if you want to talk with your family members as you look at each other. FaceTime uses Wi-Fi. For example, with a Mac at work using the Wi-Fi there, while your family members using another Mac, or an iPhone 4Gs, or a late generation iPod Touch, iPad, etc. and the Wi-Fi at home.

That said, a lot of people prefer Skype, maybe because it has been around for a long time and people have gotten used to it.

DLink stuff is cheap. $99 and the app is free. Cameras are wifi but need power. Image is clear, and you can also get pics.
