The first keyboard was invented in 1868 by Christopher Sholes. Fast forward to 1946 and the ENIAC keyboard. So, I guess you were referring to a different date?? :-)

The "Start Button" was a switch you needed to press to start something mechanical

Actually, life before the internet we wrote letters via snailmail. And once upon a time, I actually had a whole trunk full of letters my friends and I wrote starting all the way back from jr high, once they (or we) moved away, we'd keep in touch for years! After the internet, well, now its email and we 'still' keep in touch.

Actually in this particular song, he does lose everything, its in the verses. Check it out sometime, its kinda funny but sure made the charts in country music not long ago.
