My mom bought a new monitor today because her old screen would lose color & go blue. So she bought a new monitor today & it is still blue. Could it be the DSL box? She has had it since 97. If not the DSL box what else could it be?

The connection between the computer and the monitor, is one possibility. Another is the cable between computer and monitor. It's also possible to be a bad video card. Did she try a new cable between them yet? I do not think it's the DSL box.

Yes, I put a new cable on when I set the screen up. I thought of the video card soon after I posted this.

Your internet connection (DSL modem) has nothing to do with the display. If you've replaced the monitor and cable, the only thing left is the graphics card.

Do you have video card and onboard video? You can remove the video card and attach the monitor to the onboard video. You may have to enable the onboard video in the bios on startup.
