What say ya'll on a sticky that an OP can go to which lists the things anyone should post when asking for a solution to their problem? I know we have a how-to sticky here but a sticky on exclusively system troubleshooting steps...

How many times do we post the same thing over and over and over and over again?

~ What OS?

~ When was the last time you did system updates?

~ Did you check the system error logs? (I could swear someone here has an excellent write-up on checking the Windows error logs).. NHDave? NJbest? TurcoLoco? Tek? I think it was one of youse guys...

~ What hardware?

~ What do you mean by "slow"?

~ What was the error message?

etc....

I think this is a good idea. It's worked well in other areas of CD.

Something like this IMHO would sure resolve problems/issues faster...

Those who never include the required data won't bother to read it. They probably won't even see it. Sad but true.

If it's done please include the following:

Use the Enter key
Create paragraphs
Do not post in upper case
Report back when the problem is resolved

Case in point, the automotive forum, it has the mentioned sticky and people still don't include the info it requests. People just come in and post, they couldn't care less if they're doing it correctly.
