I've been having no end of problems w/ flash, like a lot of other people apparently. Youtube is another issue, but we've been streaming different things, and the video is choppy or freezes up. Tried it in Firefox, Pale Moon and Seamonkey and it's all the same. I've tried the usual fixes like disabling hardware acceleration, stopping my antivirus, etc and nothing works. Got tired of it and tried streaming on Chrome and the videos worked perfectly, just like they used to in the other Mozilla based browsers last month.
Is there any alternative to flash? I would love to take it off and use something else, anything else, for streaming and youtube.
Ah, thank you Mr. Hospitality. I see on another post about flash on the forum here that you stated "Google creates a completely different product called Pepper Flash Player that it does include with its Chrome browser". So that's my alternative to flash. Just use the player in Chrome and be done with it. I'll remove flash from the other browsers and use them for other stuff, and use Chrome for videos. Bye bye Adobe Flash.
Youtube's player works correctly on the whole. But some movies doesn't play at all although it takes place seldom. Often the browser with youtube confronts with other programs if the windows overlap. It is significantly in Windows 7 because almost every programs tries to maximize.
