How to Hide My Active Status on Facebook Messenger (screen, icon, click)

I am searching, but all of the results are outdated, and I cant figure out how to hide my active status on FB (desktop). Checking the settings, but I dont see anything. Any ideas?

Messenger (top R) > Options (three dots) > Active Status

One excellent way to hide your status is to stop using FBIbook.

Yeah, well, that ain't gonna happen. Too many contacts, some of which I use for income.

My phone app version has a setting in the settings. There are no 3 dots anywhere, but there is a way to get into settings and turn off active status.

To hide your active status on Facebook Messenger on desktop, you can follow these steps:

Open Facebook Messenger in a web browser.
Click on the "Settings" icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
In the menu that appears, click on "Active Status".
In the next menu, you can toggle the "Show when you're active" option off to hide your active status.
