Also, keep in mind that the i3/i5/i7 classification is only comparable within other processors of the year they were released. Today's i3's are far stronger than i7's of a few years ago.
If you're just using it for basic things, you could get a Chromebook for better battery life, price, and you may get a better chassis/display for your money, since less money needs to be spent on processing power.
Any display below 1080p is unacceptable in 2023, even at a low price. And for Windows, you want 8GB of RAM.
So once I buy one then what? I want to keep it in good condition. As far as protection, most tell me it comes protected already and that downloading something else is not a good idea. Others say to still use other virus protection?
