According to exeLibrary, this is what I found:

ctfmon.exe is OK
ctfmon32.exe Is CoolWebSearch, which is not OK

00thotkey.exe is an instance of the Gaobot.ee Worm

I'd do a search for ctfmon32.exe and I'd uncheck OOthotkey, then I'd wait for Freak to give advice.

Yes, it's the Add/Remove listing.

My first reaction: Holy Sh*t!

My Startups (from the Startup tab in msconfig)
nwiz
zlclient
ctfmon
rundll32
SpywareGuard
ToDo - This is a Notepad file I inserted in my startup folder. I keep reminders of "Don't forget this" in it.

That's it.

Sysinfo.org

Using this site, and you should all learn to use it, it's the definitive list for what is in your startup and what you should keep or not, I find this:

igfxtray - Users choice. Isn't required, can be accessed easily from Programs
hkcmd - Again users choice
00thotkey - Users choice. For Toshiba it allows access to the front buttons. Why not just push the button?
tfswctrl - Keep. Drive letter access to a UDF packet writer for CD-RW
pccguide - Keep. PC-Cillin 2002 antivirus software
pcclient - Keep. Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security
tmoagent - User choice. Trend Micro Internet Security anti-virus software virus outbreak warnings. Notifies users of virus outbreaks and offers to update the scanner.
qttask - Not neeed
sprtcmd - Users choice. Self-help support tool for a number of high-speed internet providers and computer suppliers such as Comcast, Qwest and Dell. Identifies and automatically fixes typical problems that may occur with your high-speed internet service.
instafinder - Dump it! InstaFinder adware
tvstray - Users choice. Toshiba Virtual Sound on a notebook. Allows you to change sound settings on the fly
tskrmask - This is not found at the site or on Google. Spelling?
tpsoddctl - Keep. Power saving software on Toshiba laptops
tpsmain - User choice. Toshiba Power Saver - associated with Toshiba laptops/desktops. Manages the power save function to make sure that the system goes to a power saver mode when not used
touchED - Users choice. TouchPad On/Off Utility on a Toshiba laptop. Is there a button on the laptop to do this? Then it's not required.
trot - Users choice. TOSHIBA Rotation Utility - allows users to rotate a notebook's screen image 180 degrees. Do you ever rotate the screen?
tmesrv31 - U (Users choice from here on out is a U). Toshiba utility related to inserting and removing a laptop from a docking station. Not required if you don't use a docking station
tmesbs32 - U. Toshiba Mobile Extension Slim Select Bay Service. You can disable this task if you have no intention of ever taking the DVD CD-Writer out while the laptop is turned on
tmerzctl - N (Not required). Dump it. Toshiba TME (Toshiba Mobile Extension) Control
thpsrv/logon - Keep!!! Toshiba Hard Drive Protection Utility
tfnf5 - U. Toshiba Hotkey Utility for Display Devices. By pressing <FN> + <F5>, a window appears showing the displays that can be chosen ? LCD, LCD + CRT, CRT, TV
tfncky - U. Deals with the <Fn> - <Function> key combinations on a Toshiba laptop
taudeff - U. I found a site that states: TOSHIBA Audio Effect Control Applet. Remove singly, reboot and test. If no problem leave it off. If problem put check mark back and reboot.
tacelmgr - Keep. Bleeping computer.com says:Accelerometer management program, handles features for the toshiba, so that when the user rotates the tablet pc the tablet pc will know what orientation it is in.
splshwrp - U. Microsoft Tablet PC Component
tabtip - U. The Microsoft Tablet PC Input Panel converts handwriting to text dynamically, and you can make corrections quickly and easily before inserting text
smax4pnp - U. SoundMax integrated sound. Required if you have custom settings for your sound, such as effects and environments
smax4 - U. System Tray icon for SoundMax integrated sound. Sound properties can be accessed through the Start Menu or Control Panel
smoothview - N. Not required. TOSHIBA Zooming Utility - allows "automatic" zoom feature in some appications, like IE, MS-Office, WMPlayer, Adobe Reader and also desktop icons
maximizer_startup - U. Toshiba Notebook Maximizer software - adjust settings to save battery power and increase efficiency
ndstray - U. ConfigFree Tray on a Toshiba laptop. Tray utility for their network switching application which permits switching network devices and settings with a click on the tray icon. While it is not required, for people who span multiple networks and want an easy way to go from wired to wireless and change addresses and other network settings, it's a must have
ltmoh - U. Modem On Hold utility - manages incoming/outgoing voice calls on a single phone line while being connected to the Internet. Do you use a dial-up connection?
ifrmewrk - Keep. Associated with the Intel PRO/Set Wireless software
crossmenu - Dump it!!. Toshiba CrossMenu Utility - allows the user to create their own menus. Probably a resource hog.
cfsserv - U. Belongs to Toshiba's configfree utility and searches for Wireless Devices
apoint - U. Touchpad software for laptop PC's. For instance it is found on the Panasonic and Sony Vaio machines and allows part of the touchpad to be used for document or Web-page scrolling. Required for proper functioning of the pointing software but not required for the laptop to work
agrummsg - If this is actually agrsmmsg it is not required - U
000stthr - If this is actually 000stthk it is not required. - U
spysweeperui - U. User interface for Spy Sweeper Enterprise edition. Can be accessed through Programs.
ctfmon - Read this page and figure out which one yours is. --> Sysinfo.org
toscdspd - U. Related to Toshiba laptop CD/DVD drivers. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling this is down to user preference
plaxohelper - U. plaxohelper.exe is a process which belongs to the Plaxo utility. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.
ramasst - U. Optionally installed with some DVD drives (LG, Panasonic, etc). Disables Windows XP's CD-burning abilities because they cause some incompatibilities. It does not affect your ability to burn CDs. If you do not have this program running, you may have some compatibility issues with burnt DVDs
microsoftofficeonenote2003quicklaunch - Not finding this anywhere. Spelling?
powerregschedulev3 - Adobe calibration. Not much info found, I'd leave it.
Do ya think Toshiba could dump a little more crap into the startup?

Thank you for all of your help, my computer is running a lot quicker in startup like it use to. I will write if anything bad goes on but it all is looking good, thank you all
Wait I just remembered. When I use CCleaner. All internet cookies are suppose to be erased. However whenever i click on google finance, there are recent quotes, which havenot been recent and anytime i delete under favorites links. It always comes back. How do I get rid of that? Is it a sign of a virus or worm?

That's hilarious. When I saw the list I thought the same thing "quotable".
I have...
QuickTime - not needed
RealPlayer update scheduler - not needed
Desktop Weather - just installed but not needed.
Quicken BackUp Agent - iffy
- and -
Zone Alarm - wouldn't live without it

For those things that load at startup, check the Task Manager, Process Tab. I'm just a general PC/Internet user, no gaming or dual core processing here. Just some surfing, reading, music, videos, porn. The usual.

I keep about 22 - 25 processes running in my Task Manager. I check those against a lookup of that process at the ProcessLibrary It tells me what it is and whether or not I need it.

Most of those things that load on a PC, for most uninitiated users, are loaded by Skynet, to keep track of what you do... I mean, Bill Gates.
