Any computer geeks here? (error, message, notifier, recognize)

I got the strangest message while online tonight, and I have never seen this error message before in my entire internet life! It said the following:

Pipe error: *
id=null, reason=open-timeout

Any ideas?

There are plenty of geeks here.

I don't recognize that as an error specific to any particular program, but probably related to something that runs fairly constantly, such as an IM or mail notifier.

Other geeks may have other opinions.
