Microsoft is poised to start giving away security software.

The company is reportedly trialling free anti-virus software internally and said the beta version would be released "soon".

Hmm... I might have to give it a try on a few PCs. Though I like Symantec Endpoint pretty well.

Was gonna say the same. You buy an OS an expect it to be broken when you buy it. You are now expected to use a Virus Scan and Malware program from the same company that you expect to buy a broken OS from. I think I will pass ....

Well, Windows programming is VERY HARD! I tried to program Windows MFC programs but it's so hard to program something like Outlook because soo much stuff is undocumented...
