Dell has finally placed the last nail in the coffin. I will never buy from or recommend their products again.

I have never gone through a web based system that is so idiotic in my entire life.

I have a clients Latitude laptop that has a blown hard drive. I ordered a new one, figured out it required an XP SP2 CD to install and got XP installed. The client has no driver CD (of course) so I headed to Dell with the Service Tag to get drivers. Easy, huh?

NOT!! I can get to the drivers page. I can add the files I need to the Download List. I place a check mark next to each file and click download selected. I download the Download Manager, it runs and says I have no files selected to download. Excuse me? I just followed YOUR DIRECTIONS to download the files.

After multiple tries I gave and decided to send an email - I don't have time to spend two hours on the phone right so why not?

I get all the way to the end of the (seemingly) endless questions and it won't continue because it can't see a Dell computer at my end.

Of course it can't! I can't get the Dell to connect without the drivers.!

Who allowed these morons to run a business?

Never, never again. Dell - You have lost me permanently.

That TF is why I don't use the Dell download manager, I never have a problem, just doing individual downloads.

I finally got cookies cleared and downloaded without the manager. What a pain.

Still boils me that you can't send them an email because you're not connecting with a Dell PC. Not too much self-importance there.
