alewife is to far north, you go right past boston and cambridge, take exit 14 off the pike to 95 south, take the grove street exit and bear right off the exit.about 1/8 of a mile on the left is the riverside station, huge lot with plenty of parking and i think it is also 7 dollars a day.about an hour and fifteen minutes from hartford.

Greyhound is really easy and reliable. The drive is short enough that it's not too uncomfortable.

I'll give you a ride in my flying car. Oh wait, those arent around here.

More like 2 hours with no traffic. Way more with traffic. Boston has traffic that's worse than 95 in fairfield county.

The best way on train is to take the train. But that means you wouldn't be visiting Connecticut with your motorcycle.

Amtrak does operate an AutoTrain, that does take motorcycles, but it only runs from near Orlando FL to near Washington DC. Then it would be about a 6+ hour ride from DC to Hartford. Plus FtL to Orlando.

Are you up for that ?

We live in the Hartford area - we drive to the Riverside station and park at that station ($8 maybe for the day?) and take the T in from there - again, just a few bucks, definitely under $10 round trip.

My daughter went to school in Bridgewater - she took the bus from Hartford to Boston a few times...

My husband and I just went to Boston for the day on Sunday. We drove to Newton and picked up the T (Riverside station) and went into Boston. We went I-84 to the Mass Pike, exit 14 for 95 and go south for 1 exit, which is exit 22. Bear right and then the T will be on your left hand side within 1 min. Purchased an all day pass which included the subway and the local bus there too. The parking at Riverside was $6. We live in Vernon and to Newton it took about 1 hr 15 mins.
