Hello! I plan to take a course at Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut in July. I am from Nova Scotia and would like to fly in and out of New York. Is there commuter transportation available between NYC and Hartford? Many thanks!

You would be better flying in and out of Bradley Airport. New York airports are not easy to get to and from from Hartford. Jay

Amen to that. I tried this recently...2 hrs, 20 min from Farmington to JFK via limo on a Saturday! coming back on a Thursday evening was even worse...3 hrs.

Only rarely will this be worth it...e.g. nonstops to certain international cities vs. multiple stops out of BDL.

If you absolutely must fly in/out of NY, try Newark airport. It's much more easily accessible than LGA or JFK since you don't have to deal with all the traffic within NYC. From Newark it's a straight shot up the Garden State Parkway to the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Good call. Plus I believe Continental offers nonstops to Halifax from Newark.

You might even want to fly in and out of Providence or Boston, I think you can find a ride-share from both of those.
