me too.

however, my optonline email address was created about 10 years ago under an old and terminated account.

Were your email addresses created under new existing accounts? or old terminated accounts?

I'm wondering if they are finally purging old users....

Its not for old users. My Mom just got her Optonline account about a year ago and it's been not loading. Thank God I have AOL

Wasn't it recently a big event wasn't going to air on Channel 7 or something....Everyone thought it was ABC's fault but apparently it was Cablevision who failed to pay ABC money...

Can't remember what it was

Edit: Oh yeah, the Oscars in March...Cablevision hadn't paid ABC to broadcast their signal.

Is CableVision next to go under? Hmmm

"We are aware that some Cablevision customers are currently unable to access their E-mail accounts and are not able to log in to certain sections of Optimum.net.

We thank you for your patience as we work to restore access to your E-mail and log-in as quickly as possible."

Only some are affected?

Maybe if they stop worrying about constantly bombarding people with the damn ForeSee surveys, they could fix the problem.
